Phalaenopsis orchids

Phalaenopsis orchids are fun to grow and beautiful to look at -- phalaenopsis orchids are the perfect orchids for your home. It is possible to find a variety of colors in phalaenopsis orchids – they range from lavenders to pinks to yellows to whites. You can find both solidly colored phalaenopsis orchids and ones with stripes.

The blooms on phalaenopsis orchids can last up to 3 months. Generally, phalaenopsis orchids open sequentially at 2-5 day intervals along an arching spike. If you decide to keep phalaenopsis orchids in your home, be sure to place them near a bright window. Of course, do not expose them to direct mid-day sun! Water your phalaenopsis orchids thoroughly, but do not water them again until the soil is nearly dry. Start out by watering your phalaenopsis orchids once a week to every 10 days.
