Orchid flowers

Orchid flowers are some of the most beautiful and sought after flowers in the plant world. There are more orchid flowers than any other type of flower in the plant family. And there is such a great variety of orchid flowers! There are large ones, small ones, spotted ones, striped ones, and ones of all different colors.

Different orchid flowers encourage different types of pollinators. So, certain orchid flowers encourage the pollination of insects, while other encourage the pollination of bats or birds. You will find that the majority of orchid flowers in Africa are white. In Asia, on the other hand, you will often find multicolored orchid flowers. It is not just color that varies from orchid flower to orchid flower, though. You will find some plants that have only one flower on each stem. Others might have more than a hundred orchid flowers on one spike!
